Small City, Big Crowds

Small City, Big Crowds

This week’s new photo challenge theme is ‘gathering‘ and I couldn’t help but think back to my recent trip to Hong Kong, one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

After spending a few months in the coast of Vietnam, the prospect¬†of being in a big crowded city excited me.¬†After hearing people comparing HK to NYC in terms of energy and chaos, I knew I was going to like it, yet I tried to keep my expectations at bay. But boy, oh boy, they were aced — Hong Kong stole my heart.

I can definitely agree with those who find similarities between the Big Apple and HK, but there are two major differences: New York is much dirtier (and smellier) and less luxurious than its Asian sister.

But more on that on another post. For now, I’ll just give you a glimpse of the city as I stick to the theme of ‘gathering’ for this week.

Enjoy your weekend, guys!
